Learning to fly as a hobby at age 26 while a rookie police officer, Chief Pilot Don Anthony quickly earned his ATP (Airline Transport Pilot). After graduating from the University of Delaware, Don began a successful 26-year career in law enforcement with the New Castle County, Delaware, police department. During his law enforcement career, Don attended the Secret Service School, the FBI National Academy, The National Intelligence Academy and the Southern Police Institute to train in specialty areas of law enforcement and administration. He advanced through the ranks to command SWAT teams and specialized in areas such as executive protection. Don retired in 1998 as a Major and second-in-command of Delaware’s second largest police force.
Upon retirement from law enforcement, Don was hired to fly for a Fortune 500 company. Instructing part-time at Flight Safety International, he earned his Westwind, Learjet and Citation 550 type ratings. Don brings 26 years of executive protection knowledge and 9000 hours of flight experience to the Jet U.S. team.
